Weaving Circles

Unwind and connect with other women in a supportive and creative environment.

I would like to respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of this land, Bundjalung Country. I pay my respects to the Elders, past, present, and emerging, and acknowledge their continued connection to land, water, and community.

Weaving is a sacred and ancient art form that has been practiced by Indigenous peoples for thousands of years. I also feel a personal connection to this tradition through my own lineage. My grandmother, originally from the West Indies, was an artist and weaver. Although I was not directly taught by her, when I began to learn weaving, I felt a deep, unspoken connection to my roots and ancestors. It was as if the skill had always been within me, passed down through generations.

In my weaving practice, I honor both the ancient traditions of Indigenous cultures and the personal legacy of my own family. Weaving has been a natural, intuitive craft for me, and I approach it with gratitude and reverence for those who came before me. Through each piece, I carry forward the spirit of connection, creativity, and mindfulness, embracing the lineage that has shaped me and the traditions that continue to inspire.

Circles

Next Circle

We’ll gather in circle, learn a traditional method of weaving, and you’ll leave with a beautiful rug to treasure forever. All fleece, materials, food, and drinks are included.

Includes: raw fleece (sheep), full teaching, all equipment, food & drinks, and your handwoven rug to take home

Your rug will be made over 3 sittings, and there will be extra drop-in circles if you need more time to finish. You can find some videos on my Instagram page > Here
